How We Got Started

In 2009, VOR was established by three dedicated individuals who, as refugees and immigrants from the Middle East, found a new home in the U.S. Motivated by their personal experiences, our founders initiated a pioneering initiative – a used furniture distribution program – within the confines of a simple garage.

Since its inception, VOR has been unwavering in its commitment to addressing the comprehensive needs of families. Our multifaceted services serve both relief and development needs and include but are not limited to: English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, case management, job mentoring, youth empowerment programs, driver training, and memorable seasonal events.
